Polyetherketoneketone

PEKK (polyetherketoneketone) is a polymer belonging to the
polyaryletherketones (PAEK) family, known for its excellent mechanical properties, high
operating temperatures, and chemical resistance.
PEKK is among the first high-performance polymers used in the market, as it is easier to
process than other high-performance polymers in the same family. Thanks to its
self-extinguishing properties and UL 94 V-0 rating, it provides the flexibility needed to
produce translucent components for a wide range of industrial applications.

ToolingX CF 2
  • High chemical resistance
  • High thermal resistance
  • Self-lubricating
  • Continuous use temperature 250°C ASTM D3045

Polyether ether ketone

PEEK, or Polyether ether ketone, is a semi-crystalline polymer that belongs to the PAEK (Polyaryletherketone) family. It boasts high mechanical properties and, thanks to the diphenylketone groups present in its chemical structure, exhibits excellent thermal resistance and oxidation resistance. The filament’s molecular structure also includes ether bonds that provide flexibility, and its semi-crystalline nature gives it high resistance tocreep and wear across a broad temperature range. Additionally, the filament has high volume and surface resistivity, and when combined with its excellent thermal resistance, it can maintain good insulating properties over a wide temperature range.

Polyether ether ketone

Carbon PEEK is a composite material reinforced with carbon fibers, offering exceptional mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance. The addition of carbon fibers makes the material even stronger mechanically and allows for further advancements in Metal Replacement, even in the most extreme industrial environments. Carbon PEEK is used across a wide range of industries and is employed in highly specialized areas that demand enhanced mechanical performance for extraordinary results.

ToolingX CF
  • High stiffness

PPS + Carbon fiber

Among the most widely used materials in the aerospace sector, ToolingX CF is a carbon fiber-reinforced material that offers lightweight properties, chemical resistance, and high mechanical strength.
It is almost entirely insoluble in organic solvents below 200°C, making it suitable for use in applications facing corrosive or challenging chemical environments. Thanks to its chemical structure and self-extinguishing properties, ToolingX CF is inherently flame-resistant.

ToolingX CF
  • High thermal resistance
  • Flame retardant
  • Good FST rating
  • Certified EN 45545 R6 Hazard Level: 1, 2, 3

Polyetherimide

ULTEM™ AM9085F, a polyetherimide (PEI) produced by Sabic, is an amorphous thermoplastic known for its high resistance to acids and hydrolysis, as well as its excellent thermal and mechanical properties.
The stability of the peptide bonds within the polymer grants it high heat resistance, deformation resistance, and significant stiffness. Furthermore, it has a high glass transition temperature and serves as an excellent flame retardant with low smoke emission and good mechanical properties. These qualities make ULTEM™ AM9085F an ideal candidate for various applications, particularly those demanding a high strength-to-density ratio, and it can replace lightweight metal alloys in numerous contexts. It is also available in natural or grey/aluminum color (RAL 9006).
